Rigorous Bookkeeping Services LLC

Terms of Use

Last updated: September 30, 2026

1. Acceptance of These Terms

Welcome to the website of Rigorous Bookkeeping Services LLC (“Rigorous Bookkeeping,” “Company,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). These Terms of Use govern your access to and use of rigorousbookkeeping.com (the “Website”), including its content, contact forms, scheduling features, package information, payment links, and other services made available through the Website.

By accessing or using the Website, you agree to these Terms of Use and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Website.

2. About the Website and Our Business

Rigorous Bookkeeping Services LLC provides bookkeeping and related financial recordkeeping services, with a focus on pool service businesses using QuickBooks Online and field-service platforms such as Skimmer and PoolBrain.

The Website may include information about our company, services, standard packages, pricing, educational content, contact information, and ways to schedule a discovery call or purchase certain services.

Information on this Website is provided for general informational and marketing purposes. Visiting the Website, submitting a contact form, subscribing to marketing communications, scheduling a consultation, or making an inquiry does not create a bookkeeper-client relationship.

A professional relationship is formed only after both parties agree to the applicable services and, when required, sign a separate written engagement letter, proposal, or service agreement.

3. No Tax, Legal, Investment, or Financial Advice

The content on this Website is provided for general informational purposes and does not constitute tax, legal, investment, audit, assurance, or financial-planning advice. Rigorous Bookkeeping Services LLC is not a law firm, CPA firm, investment adviser, or financial-planning firm unless expressly stated otherwise in a signed service agreement.

You should consult an appropriately licensed professional regarding decisions specific to your business, finances, taxes, or legal obligations. You should not act—or refrain from acting—based solely on information found on this Website.

4. Services, Packages, and Pricing

The Website may describe standard bookkeeping packages, custom services, prices, features, deliverables, and service limitations. We may change, update, suspend, or discontinue any package, service, feature, or price at any time.

A package or service description on the Website is not a guarantee that every business will qualify for or receive the same services. The final scope of work may depend on the condition of your books, the information you provide, the software you use, the complexity of your business, and the terms of the applicable proposal or service agreement.

Displayed prices may apply only to the package, billing period, and scope specifically described. Additional work, cleanup, catch-up bookkeeping, historical corrections, special projects, or services outside the stated package may involve additional fees.

If there is a conflict between Website content and a signed proposal, engagement letter, service agreement, or invoice, the signed agreement or invoice will control.

5. Bookkeeping Services and Engagement Agreements

Any bookkeeping or related professional services provided by Rigorous Bookkeeping Services LLC will be governed by the applicable proposal, engagement letter, statement of work, invoice, or service agreement.

That agreement may address the scope of services, client responsibilities, fees, payment schedules, deadlines, confidentiality, document retention, cancellation, refunds, and limitations of liability.

You are responsible for providing complete, timely, and accurate information and for reviewing the records and reports delivered to you. We are not responsible for errors, delays, penalties, or other consequences caused by missing, inaccurate, misleading, or late information provided by you or third parties.

6. Discovery Calls and Custom Services

The Website may allow you to schedule a free 30-minute discovery call through Calendly. A discovery call is intended to help determine whether our services may be a good fit for your business.

A discovery call does not include a complete review of your books, create a bookkeeper-client relationship, or constitute tax, legal, accounting, or financial advice.

Custom services are not automatically purchased by scheduling a discovery call. After discussing your needs, we may provide a proposal, invoice, payment link, engagement letter, or service agreement describing the agreed-upon work and price.

Custom work will not begin until the applicable terms are accepted and any required payment, deposit, or documentation has been received.

7. Payments Through Stripe and PayPal

The Website may include buttons or links for standard packages that direct you to a payment page hosted by Stripe or PayPal. The Website does not operate a separate shopping cart or internal checkout system.

Payments may also be collected through customer-specific payment links or invoices sent directly by Rigorous Bookkeeping Services LLC through Stripe, PayPal, or another approved payment method.

When you make a payment, you may be required to provide information directly to Stripe, PayPal, or another payment provider. Your payment is subject to that provider’s terms, privacy policy, security practices, and applicable fees.

Rigorous Bookkeeping Services LLC does not control Stripe or PayPal and is not responsible for their availability, processing errors, payment disputes, account restrictions, security incidents, policies, or practices.

You agree to provide accurate and complete billing information and to use a payment method that you are authorized to use. We may delay, suspend, or decline services if a payment is declined, reversed, disputed, refunded, or otherwise not received.

8. Subscription Cancellation

Some services may be offered on an ongoing monthly or annual subscription basis. Clients may cancel a subscription at any time by emailing info@rigorousbookkeeping.com, unless a different cancellation method is stated in the applicable service agreement or package terms.

Unless otherwise stated in writing, cancellation becomes effective at the end of the current subscription or billing period. Service will continue through the remainder of that period, and no additional subscription charge will be made after the cancellation takes effect.

Clients remain responsible for charges incurred before the effective cancellation date and for any unpaid amounts already due.

Cancelling a recurring subscription does not automatically cancel a separate one-time purchase, custom service, invoice, or completed project.

9. No-Refund Policy

Except where expressly stated in writing or required by applicable law, all sales are final. Rigorous Bookkeeping Services LLC does not offer refunds, prorated refunds, credits, or money-back guarantees for purchases, subscription charges, deposits, or completed or partially completed services.

You are not entitled to a refund merely because you change your mind, do not use the services, cancel before the end of a billing period, fail to provide information required for us to perform the services, or purchase a service and later decide that it is not suitable for your business.

Any exception to this policy must be approved by Rigorous Bookkeeping Services LLC in writing. Nothing in this section limits any non-waivable rights available under applicable law.

10. Acceptable Use

You agree to use the Website only for lawful purposes. You may not:

  • Use the Website in a way that violates any applicable law or regulation;
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Website, its server, forms, accounts, or connected systems;
  • Introduce malware, malicious code, automated scripts, or other harmful technology;
  • Interfere with the Website’s operation, security, or availability;
  • Scrape, copy, harvest, or collect Website content or user information through automated means without written permission;
  • Impersonate another person or submit false, misleading, or fraudulent information;
  • Use the Website to transmit spam, unlawful material, or content that infringes another party’s rights; or
  • Reproduce, distribute, modify, sell, or commercially exploit Website content without prior written permission.

We may suspend or block access to the Website if we reasonably believe these Terms have been violated.

11. Intellectual Property

The Website and its original content—including its text, design, graphics, branding, logos, downloads, layout, pricing materials, blog posts, and other materials—are owned by or licensed to Rigorous Bookkeeping Services LLC and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

You may view and print reasonable portions of the Website for your personal, noncommercial use. No other license or right is granted.

You may not reproduce, republish, distribute, modify, sell, license, or create derivative works from Website content without our prior written consent.

12. Information You Submit

When you submit information through a contact form, scheduling tool, email link, newsletter form, or payment-related process, you represent that the information is accurate and that you have the authority to provide it.

Please do not submit highly sensitive information through a general contact form or ordinary email. This includes Social Security numbers, taxpayer identification numbers, bank credentials, payment-card numbers, government identification documents, or account login credentials.

We will provide an approved method for transferring sensitive records if a professional engagement requires them.

You grant us permission to use the information you submit as reasonably necessary to respond to your inquiry, schedule appointments, evaluate a potential engagement, provide requested services, send communications you have requested or consented to receive, process or coordinate payments, protect our legal rights, and operate our business, subject to our Privacy Policy and applicable law.

13. Testimonials

Testimonials appearing on the Website reflect the personal experiences and opinions of the individuals who provided them. They do not guarantee that current or future clients will receive the same results.

We will not knowingly publish a client testimonial without appropriate authorization. We may make minor edits for length, spelling, grammar, or clarity without materially changing its meaning.

14. Blog and Educational Content

The Website may include blog posts, articles, guides, checklists, or other educational content. This content is provided for general informational purposes only and may not reflect the most current accounting practices, software features, tax rules, or legal requirements.

Blog and educational content does not create a professional relationship or replace advice from a qualified accountant, tax professional, attorney, or other licensed professional.

15. Software and Third-Party Platforms

The Website may refer to third-party products and services, including QuickBooks Online, Skimmer, PoolBrain, Calendly, Stripe, PayPal, website hosting providers, email marketing platforms, website plugins, and communication tools.

All third-party names, trademarks, and product names belong to their respective owners. References to third-party software do not imply sponsorship, endorsement, partnership, certification, or affiliation unless expressly stated.

Rigorous Bookkeeping Services LLC does not own or control these third-party platforms and is not responsible for their availability, security, pricing, performance, data practices, errors, outages, updates, changes, payment processing, or account restrictions.

Your use of any third-party platform is governed by that provider’s terms and privacy policy.

16. Website Accuracy and Availability

We try to keep Website content accurate and current, but we do not guarantee that it is complete, error-free, or up to date. Bookkeeping practices, software features, tax rules, prices, and business requirements may change.

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Website without notice. We are not liable if the Website is unavailable, delayed, compromised, or affected by maintenance, hosting failures, cyber incidents, third-party services, or events beyond our reasonable control.

17. Third-Party Links

The Website may contain links to third-party websites or services, including Calendly, Stripe, PayPal, QuickBooks Online, Skimmer, and PoolBrain. These links are provided for convenience only.

We do not control or endorse third-party content and are not responsible for its accuracy, availability, security, products, services, payment processing, or privacy practices.

You access third-party websites and services at your own risk.

18. Disclaimer of Warranties

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE WEBSITE AND ITS CONTENT ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE,” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED.

RIGOROUS BOOKKEEPING SERVICES LLC DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, ACCURACY, AND AVAILABILITY.

WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE WEBSITE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE, ERROR-FREE, OR FREE OF VIRUSES OR OTHER HARMFUL COMPONENTS.

Some jurisdictions do not permit certain warranty exclusions, so some of these exclusions may not apply to you.

19. Limitation of Liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, RIGOROUS BOOKKEEPING SERVICES LLC AND ITS OWNERS, MEMBERS, EMPLOYEES, CONTRACTORS, AND AGENTS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF—or inability to use—the Website.

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO THE WEBSITE WILL NOT EXCEED ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS ($100).

This section applies only to Website use. Liability related to professional services may be governed separately by a signed engagement letter or service agreement.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations of liability, so some limitations may not apply to you.

20. Indemnification

To the extent permitted by law, you agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Rigorous Bookkeeping Services LLC and its owners, members, employees, contractors, and agents from claims, liabilities, damages, judgments, losses, costs, and reasonable attorneys’ fees arising from your unlawful use of the Website, violation of these Terms, submission of information or content, or infringement of another party’s rights.

21. Privacy

Our collection and use of personal information through the Website are described in our Privacy Policy, available at https://rigorousbookkeeping.com/privacy-policy/.

The Internet and ordinary email cannot be guaranteed to be completely secure. Please use caution when deciding what information to transmit electronically.

22. Electronic and Marketing Communications

By contacting us electronically, submitting a Website form, or scheduling a consultation, you consent to receive electronic communications from us in response to your inquiry or concerning requested services.

If you separately subscribe to our email list or otherwise consent to receive marketing communications, we may send you information about our services, educational content, business updates, and promotional offers.

You may unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link in an email or contacting us at info@rigorousbookkeeping.com.

Opting out of marketing messages will not prevent us from sending service-related, administrative, transactional, or other communications necessary to provide requested services.

Consent to receive marketing communications is not a condition of purchasing services.

23. Governing Law and Venue

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.

To the extent permitted by law, any legal action arising from or related to the Website or these Terms must be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Travis County, Texas. You consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.

24. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes become effective when the revised Terms are posted on the Website, unless a later effective date is stated.

The “Last updated” date at the top indicates when these Terms were most recently revised. Your continued use of the Website after revised Terms are posted means that you accept the updated Terms.

25. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid, unlawful, or unenforceable, that provision will be enforced to the maximum extent permitted, and the remaining provisions will remain in effect.

26. No Waiver

Our failure to enforce any provision of these Terms does not waive our right to enforce that provision or any other provision later.

27. Entire Agreement

These Terms and our Privacy Policy constitute the entire agreement between you and Rigorous Bookkeeping Services LLC concerning your use of the Website.

They do not replace any separate engagement letter, service agreement, proposal, invoice, payment link terms, or other written terms governing professional services or purchases.
